Brunner Releases Post General Election Report In Advance of Historic Ohio Elections ConferenceTuesday, 10 March 2009 00:00 COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner released Tuesday the official 2008 Post General Election Report to Gov. Ted Strickland and the leaders of the General Assembly. The report documents the preparations, in partnership with bipartisan boards of elections, which led to the 2008 elections being widely hailed as the most successful in a generation. The report was released prior to the Ohio Elections Conference where participants will help set the stage for a bipartisan roadmap to further enhance voter confidence in the operation of Ohio’s elections system. “In 2008, the Secretary of State’s office focused on the tools local boards of elections needed to provide Ohio voters with an efficient, orderly election. Based on information from the election, this preparation resulted in a successfully administered election that reinvigorated voter confidence in our bipartisan elections system,” Secretary Brunner said.
